8th investment for FPCI Capitem 3 with Suntec Group MBO

Suntec Group reorganises its capital around its CEO and management team with the participation of Capitem, Carvest and Access Capital.

Founded in 1984, SUNTEC is one of the world's leading companies in the field of flow/pressure regulation of liquids (especially for biofuels) and gases. The group designs, manufactures and markets a wide range of gear pumps and accessories under its own brand name. As a partner of the largest heating manufacturers (domestic, industrial, mobile and on-board), it also provides technical solutions for all applications using a gear pump (high-pressure cleaners, pollution control systems, hydraulic systems, etc.). Thanks to its two production sites, the main one in France (Côte d'Or), the other in the United States in Kentucky, SUNTEC has established a worldwide network of customers and distributors. The high performance R&D activity (9 people) and permanent innovation have constantly enabled SUNTEC to offer innovative and pioneering products (biofuel, hydrogen, etc...) in a market undergoing major changes.

SUNTEC, located in Longvic (Côte d'Or) on a 4 hectare plant, possesses the required skills and resources to produce 750,000 pumps per year. The group employs 147 people and generates a consolidated turnover of €30 million, 96% of which is exported to 70 countries. Since he took over the management of the Group, Laurent Chevalier (President) has made a significant investment in production equipment and in the human resources necessary to turn SUNTEC around and expand into new high-growth markets. SUNTEC has been awarded the "Class A Milestone Award in Integrated Business Planning".

This transaction allows its CEO to become a majority shareholder by associating his management committee to the capital, as a result of a competitive process led by Exponens Corporate Finance. This Management Buy Out (MBO) was carried out with the help of its financial partners: Capitem, Carvest, Access Capital and Crédit Agricole as lead bank.
