Arago reorganises its capital and welcomes a new minority shareholder

The digital solutions integrator specialising in the digital transformation of HR functions is restructuring its equity structure, with the exit of Capitem Partenaires and Yannick Raba (ex-COO), while welcoming Calcium Capital as a new shareholder.

Founded in 2010 by Jean-Christophe Péaudeau, Arago specialises in the integration, resale and maintenance of SaaS HRIS solutions as well as expense and business travel management solutions.

Arago opened up its capital for the first time in 2018 with the arrival of Capitem Partenaires as a minority shareholder. At the time of this operation, the group was generating €12m in revenues with 80 employees. Over the 5 years of the partnership, a number of acquisitions were made in addition to strong organic growth, including the opening of several European countries.

Having generated more than €25m in revenue during 2023, Arago now operates through 11 locations, mainly in Europe, and is a leading reseller of SAP SuccessFactors and SAP Concur solutions. Headquartered in Paris with 180 employees, Arago enjoys a solid reputation and benefits from the highest level of partnership with SAP as an SAP Gold Partner, giving it a prime position among SAP integrators in Europe.

Damien Gassies, Investment Director at Capitem Partenaires: «We are very proud to have been able to support Jean-Christophe and Yannick in this fantastic growth phase. With sales of €12m in 2018, Arago has more than doubled in size in 5 years, despite a challenging macroeconomic environment at times. To continue this success story, we are delighted to pass the torch to Calcium Capital, a fund with the same entrepreneurial DNA as Capitem».

The arrival of Calcium Capital, which holds a minority stake in Arago, illustrates the company's ambition to strengthen its teams, accelerate its development and take advantage of external growth opportunities.

Jean-Christophe Péaudeau, founder and CEO of Arago said : « I am delighted that Calcium Capital has joined us at a key stage in our development. The expertise of their teams, combined with our positioning as a premium player in our markets, will enable us to implement our growth plan based on strengthening our teams, accelerating our international development and external growth opportunities. Together, we will take Arago to new heights and consolidate our position as market leader».

Paul Barry, Managing Partner at Calcium Capital: « ‘We were particularly attracted by Arago's differentiating positioning in a growing market segment. Its well-established knowledge of the SAP and Concur HRIS ecosystem, built up over more than 15 years, enables it to address a wide range of issues faced by its customers, while providing a high level of service quality thanks to the specialist skills and numerous certifications of its consultants. Our investment thesis is based not only on developing the company through organic growth, both in France and internationally, by recruiting consultants and sales staff, but also through external growth to strengthen our position in a particular geography or in a new business».
